Quick answer
Choose the Raiders Play Mat if you primarily play Raiders of the North Sea, Hall of Heroes, or Fields of Fame. Opt for the Architects Play Mat if your collection focuses on Architects of the West Kingdom, Age of Artisans, or Works of Wonder. Both mats offer a dedicated, organized surface for their respective game families.
Why a dedicated play mat matters
A Garphill play mat provides a clean, designated area for your game components. It helps keep cards, tokens, and boards from sliding around and creates a visual boundary that reduces clutter. While both mats share this core benefit, the choice depends entirely on which game series you play most often.
Compatibility is the key difference
The Raiders Play Mat is built for the North Sea trilogy and associated expansions. The Architects Play Mat is designed for the West Kingdom trilogy and its expansions. Neither mat is cross-compatible with the other series, so your decision hinges on your game library.
