The moon phase switching keeps every round tense — you never settle into one strategy because the ruleset flips on you. Lycans fit right into both the base game and Merica without feeling bolted on. Easily my favorite society to play so far.

The Lycans feel genuinely distinct from the other factions, and the flip between new and full moon gives them a strategic rhythm I haven't seen
