The temple location ended up being my favorite part, way more tense than I expected for a negotiation spot. The two new local factions also have enough personality that I keep switching who I side with each game.
Didn't expect the outpost boards to change how much I plan my research routes, but they slot in nicely alongside the base game. The two new factions give negotiations way more replay value, and the extra characters show up often enough to feel worth it.
The temple location alone is worth it—my group spent an entire session just exploring its possibilities during negotiations. The new factions add real tension to every deal, and having outpost boards to manage makes the research phase feel much more strategic.
