L'obiettivo di Assyria è essere il giocatore con il maggior numero di punti vittoria (PV) alla fine della partita. Guadagni punti principalmente costruendo capanne e ziggurat, facendo offerte e aumentando la tua influenza. Ogni turno, i giocatori fanno offerte per l'ordine di turno, si espandono sulla mappa e compiono varie azioni. Dopo il terzo e il sesto turno, si verifica un'alluvione che spazza via tutto lungo i due fiumi. Dopo l'alluvione finale, il giocatore con più punti vince.

Played this three times already and the area control tension keeps every round interesting. The included bag of 8 wooden replacement tokens is a nice touch since the cardboard ones would've worn out fast. Fighting over ziggurats has never been this fun.
