Skara Brae의 목표는 다양한 자원을 모아 증가하는 정착민들에게 먹을 것, 입을 것, 그리고 거처를 제공하는 것입니다. 플레이어는 차례를 돌아가며 카드를 드래프트하고, 작업자를 사용하여 가구를 만들고, 요리하고, 공예하고, 청소하고, 거래합니다. 각 라운드가 끝나면 플레이어는 정착민들을 부양해야 하며, 청소해야 할 더 많은 쓰레기(midden)가 생길 가능성이 높습니다. 4라운드 후에 가장 많은 점수를 얻은 플레이어가 승리합니다.
My group's first play took almost two hours because we kept debating which settlers to feed first, but that tension is exactly what makes it fun. The resource juggling between clothing and shelter never feels random, and the drafting keeps everyone paying attention between turns.
The worker placement and card drafting flow together so smoothly that even my group of casual gamers picked it up by round two. Watching your little settlement grow as you juggle feeding everyone with new housing is genuinely tense in the best way.
We’ve played this four times in two nights already, and the way the drafting and worker placement feed into each other makes every round feel like a fresh puzzle. It’s got that perfect tension where you’re always one resource short, but the settlers keep growing and you just can’t stop.
