Målet med Assyria är att vara den spelare som har flest segerpoäng (VP) vid spelets slut. Du får poäng främst genom att bygga hyddor och ziggurater, göra offer och öka ditt inflytande. Varje runda bjuder spelarna på turordning, expanderar på kartan och utför olika handlingar. Efter den tredje och sjätte rundan inträffar en översvämning som sopar bort allt längs de två floderna. Efter den sista översvämningen vinner den spelare som har flest poäng.

Denna andra utgåva av Assyria är en omarbetad och omskapad utgåva av 2009 års release Assyria.

Played this three times already and the area control tension keeps every round interesting. The included bag of 8 wooden replacement tokens is a nice touch since the cardboard ones would've worn out fast. Fighting over ziggurats has never been this fun.
