《北海符文傳奇》是一場史詩級的競賽，適合2至4名玩家，目標是收集最多的符文石，並贏得備受推崇的「酋長」頭銜。玩家將逐步推進北海傳奇的各個章節（造船者、掠奪者與探險者）。
每個章節提供3顆獨特的符文石供玩家收集。這些符文石會頒發給首位達成特定目標的玩家。獲得這些符文石也會讓玩家在後續章節中享有優勢。每顆符文石還帶有1或2個銘文（盾牌、號角與錘子）。首位集齊同一類型3個銘文的玩家，將額外獲得一顆符文石作為獎勵。
玩家贏得每個章節可獲得2顆符文石，或獲得亞軍可獲得1顆符文石。然而，以此方式收集的符文石不會提供任何遊戲內優勢或銘文。
一旦所有3個章節都完成後，擁有最多符文石的玩家即為總冠軍，並獲得「酋長」的頭銜！
Finally got to link my whole campaign into a single saga instead of three separate game nights, and earning Runestones across every chapter makes the wins actually carry weight. The Chieftain title is a genuinely satisfying thing to chase when you're playing with four people who all want it.
The chapter-based progression is such a clever touch—each round adds a new twist so no two games feel the same. My group of four fought over Runestones for two hours and it flew by. Ending the night with one of us demanding a rematch for the Chieftain title says it all.
The race to snatch Runestones before your rivals gets properly tense by the third chapter, and the way each round shifts the scoring keeps everyone on edge. Played it twice back-to-back with three players and the competition for Chieftain felt genuinely earned, not luck-driven.
