The twist where you place a worker then immediately remove one keeps every turn tense, no downtime at all. First game I raided a monastery and lost two crew, still clawed back with offerings to the Chieftain. Genuinely one of the tightest worker placement games I own.

The offering-to-the-Chieftain mechanic really pulls everything together—every plunder choice feels meaningful rather than just point-chasing. Setup is quick and the box insert keeps all the tokens organized, which I appreciate after a few plays. We've already gotten three games in this week and the

The worker placement here is brutally tight—every turn you’re agonizing over whether to grab that last crew member or risk a weaker raid. I’ve played it three times in a row and the way plunder fuels both offerings and raids keeps the strategy fresh each round.
