在《Spirited》中，你希望在最終戰鬥後擁有最多的精神。玩家透過與氏族行軍以建立聯盟、參與戰鬥以及建造奇觀來獲得精神。氏族抽牌堆包含三張「時光流逝」卡牌，當它們被翻開時，會將遊戲推進至離最終戰鬥更近一步。
《Spirited》在未定的回合數中進行。從第一位玩家開始，依順時針方向輪流，每位玩家完整執行自己的回合，接著由左側的玩家繼續。如此持續直到最終戰鬥。在每個回合中，你將進行偵察、建造或行軍。
當沙漏到達時間軌道的最後一格時，將在目前回合結束時觸發最終戰鬥。遊戲在最終戰鬥結束後立即結束。擁有最多精神的玩家即為贏家。
I wasn't expecting the clan draw pile to create so much tension every round. Marches, battles, and wonders all feed into the same spirit race, so you're never really safe until the final battle resolves.
The tug-of-war over clan allegiances had our whole table trash-talking by round three, and the final battle scoring actually made the earlier moves matter. Easy to teach, but there's real depth in deciding when to march versus when to build.
The clan draw pile keeps every session unpredictable, and I love how the marching and wonder-building mechanics weave together without slowing down. We’ve played three rounds back-to-back, and each ending battle left us re-calculating our spirit counts.
