『ウェスト・キングダムの建築家たち』の目的は、ゲーム終了時に最も多くの勝利点（VP）を獲得したプレイヤーになることです。勝利点は、様々な建物を建設し、大司教の大聖堂の工事を進めることで獲得できます。ゲーム中、プレイヤーは多くの道徳的な決断を迫られます。しかし、彼らの美徳が評価されるのはゲーム終了時だけです。ここでの不正な取引は大したことではないように思えるかもしれませんが、深みにはまると罰せられます。ゲームは、一定数の建設が完了すると終了します。
The whole corruption mechanic where your workers pile up in prison and you have to decide whether to bail them out is such a clever twist on worker placement. Every game so far has ended close, and building my cathedral for those Archbishop points felt genuinely tense.
The twist where your workers get thrown in prison if you push the Archbishop too hard caught me off guard in the best way. Building combos stack up nicely, and the solo variant actually holds its own against playing with friends.
The worker placement here is tense from the very first turn, and I love how hiring apprentices lets you pivot your whole strategy mid-game. Building the cathedral adds such a clever layer of risk that I’m already planning our next session.
