The paladin drafting each round keeps you second-guessing whether to grab monks or push fortifications first. We've played it four times now and the outpost placement alone has completely changed how our group drafts.
The tension between building outposts and commissioning monks keeps every turn interesting, and there's never a clear "best" move. Took us about two hours our first play, but the turns flew by.
The solo mode is surprisingly tight—each turn feels like a real puzzle and the AI opponent actually pressures you. I've played three games back to back just to try different strategies for commissioning monks versus raising fortifications. The outpost building chain is so satisfying to pull off.
